Antoine Bavandi
Antoine Bavandi is a Senior Financial Sector Specialist with the World Bank’s Disaster Risk Financing and Insurance Program (DRFIP). In this role, he advises developing countries in designing and implementing disaster risk financing and insurance solutions with analytical and policy work. Key activities include developing customized financial products with Ministries of Finance to improve their financial resilience to natural disasters. A catastrophe risk modeling and management expert, Antoine has worked at Lloyd’s of London, Allianz Global Corporate & Specialty, and the European Space Agency. He holds degrees from École Centrale de Lyon, Imperial College London, and Stanford University.
